    Very disappointed with my “deep tissue massage”. The “therapist” didn’t know what she was doing. Her strokes were either too light or too painful. I’m still aching and sore after my one hour session. The way she spoke to me one time also sounded impatient and rude. Wasted my money and time.

    My husband booked me for a Spa treatment for my birthday. It was a terrible experience. He had selected the Chi Jewel. It started with the therapist stroking my back. When I said I did not feel like it was a massage, she said this was light to medium type of message which was not explained at the reception despite the fact that I had asked several times about this treatment. So I changed my treatment to a rejuvenating facial. The therapist used the same cotton to clean my mouth and nose on my face. I had to stop her at least 3 times. She explained that was the training she received! I found that extremely unhygienic ! Finally, we were told we can use the Steam Room. It was not ready, so we had to wait. The steam came after 8 minutes in spurts of 30 seconds and then disappeared. Hardly the steam room experience I was looking forward too! Overall, very bad experience ! Given the expensive treatments, I expected much better! It really spoilt my relaxation spa for birthday

    Hubs and I came here during our honeymoon – we opted to go for the full Chi, The Enchanted Journey package, which is a 2.5h treatment with 30min body scrub (+ shower), 60min full body massage, 60min facial.

    We booked for a couple treatment but were initially given two separate rooms; after requesting the staff kindly allowed us to do the last 60min in a couple room. The massage was relaxing. The facial was explained beforehand that it would just be a cleansing treatment (without steam and extraction) – it did feel soothing and aromatic.

    Chi Jewel review

    I went for the above treatment, there wasn’t anything wrong with it, therapist was professional and methodical, but the quality of the treatment falls short of expectations.

    The reception – pleasant but not warm

    The room- clean and the bed is very comfortable.

    The back/feet/hand massage – pleasant but it did not hit the spot to release stress and tension. My regular no frill massages were better in relieving aches and pains. It was relaxing though.

    The head massage – the hot oil bit was very relaxing but the massage is very superficial, again didn’t relieve any tension physically, let’s just say my hair dressers shampoo massage or my facialist’s head massage felt better. So it was a bit disappointing.

    All in the treatment was just relaxing but it did not meet the therapeutic needs or claims it says on the menu. It has all the potential to be a great treatment , all the necessary components in its design but the execution falls short.

    Terrible “Deep Tissue Massage”

    The masseuse just gently stroked oil on my body for 1.5 hours without any idea of what the major muscle groups were or how to massage them. It was supposed to be a deep tissue massage but i had to keep asking her to apply some pressure, which she still did not do. She did not even touch some of the things i highlighted in the form.

    After 1.5 hours of boredom i left with exactly the same aches and 200 dollars lighter. Waste of time and money, terrible massage.
