    Been visiting for many years and Colin has been my go-to all this time. Always reliable, friendly and professional. Eddie is also a great hairdresser. Highly recommend.

    got recommended through my sister’s friend and it was my first visit. Collin was able to recommend what haircut, colour and perm suited me and I left it to her to decide what suits best as I always had difficulty deciding. my visit here exceeded expectations and I will come back again!

    Collin has been cutting my hair for 20 years. Her service is professional and amazing. She will recommend you the right hairstyle, colour or treatment for your hair, and help you achieve the desired look.

    Was given appointment timing at 12.15pm. Arrived on time but was asked to wait outside with no advice of waiting time. Give up waiting at 12.50pm. Could have at least some courtesy to inform us in advance to come back at a later timing. Very poor attitude and over commit of appointments.

    haircut so bad i avoid mirrors now 🙁

    3. Have a specific haircut you go for
    4. Want to have a fixed regular salon you can go to

    This is not the salon for you!! I went there and the first thing they did was to shampoo my hair, which is great and all but when my hair is wet, the waves drop. Then I thought they would dry my hair before cutting but the lady chopped off huge chunks ontop of my head before asking another lady to dry my hair and she straightened my hair 👁️👄👁️

    Did not make any effort to know me or my preferences because if she had just asked before she chopped off so much, she would have known i do not use heat on my hair because it is heat damaged and I do not style my hair because I wakeup with pretty waves.

    Also the fact that she probably spent 2 min on the cut and 5 minutes styling and the remaining 20 min cutting some dude’s hair while talking to the entire salon?

    And it cost 26 dollars for short female hair? The pink tax be taxing fr, I will never be back ngl. After i washed my hair at home I have so many fly aways and microbangs because she decided I will look good with them but didnt even blend them in. And worst part, I went there for a trim to remove my split ends n i still see them.

    If any of you have good recommendations for salon that actually cuts good and does a 1 on 1, let me know.

    N no, there was no 10 minute massages. The hair washing seemed like compulsory too, no opting out. Sad.

    I like Collin service! Though is long hair, I still wana hear her advise by unmask to let her c my face shape Then she suggest how’s the cutting will b fresher better. Her assistant help me was hair till so comfy shiok. Collin is nice chatty & I love the overall result!

    From my experience this is the best salon. The shop call Za Stylist Salon located in Bukit Batok East Ave 4 BLK 275. Collin and her assistant Emily both professional. Collin will advise you how to managed your hair. She even offer me food while waiting for my hair to be done. All of them are very friendly. I really appreciated for their service. Recommended to all 👍👍👍 by the way the place is clean salon and toilet is clean.

    I came here for the first time, Awesome colline,she will explained the face shape n style n wat is suitable for me.i didn’t even know it before.veri professional . I’m so satisfying n highly recommend n oso her assistant Emily so sweet n gentle while I’m so tired of sitting for more than 4hrs , she massage n help me to relieved my tiredess.

    My original hair stylist got covid and i could not wait further because my hair is long already. Did some google search and decided to try out this since its not too far from me. I came with no expectations other than hoping the stylist dont end cut cutting my fringe too short like some other salon i tried in the past.

    When Collin met me she straight away could advise me the problem with my current hair and how proposed way to cut it to make me look good. I just told her make me look slimmer and do whatever she like.. from the way she cut I can feel she put in effort even in small details. She know how to initiate conversations to help you relax. There is a difference between people who work for the sake of money, and the people with genuine passion for what they do and it just happen to be their career. Collin is one of those who genuinely love what she do.

    The haircut is $18 and I added $6 for the hairwash with massage (after reading some reviews about it) it is really worth the add on.. the massage is legit kind, not some anyhow “shuibian” massage that some other salons do. I really felt relax, same as those massage places I go for full body massages so I highly recommend it.

    Being a self employed photographer myself I understand the value of paying a bit more for better service, rather than just looking for the cheapest.

    Especially for haircut it is an art, its alright to pay a bit more in respect for the time and experience of the stylist and their crew. Its not like hiring a cleaning service or buying a product where you can just search for the cheapest and go for it.

    I highly recommend this salon and its worth every penny 🙂

    Excellent hair services with absolutely no hard-sell (coz they don’t have such concept of packages). Very sincere and true kindness. Dry wash of hair also comes with 10 mins head shoulder massage. Nobody is asking you for signing up packages or unwanted services. This stands out from almost all else salons in Singapore.

    Went there on a Friday before noon, the place was packed. As I see so many good reviews were given, I took the risk to get my hair cut by any stylist available. I was told to sit near the entrance but noticed there were items and a bag near it. I told her it’s occupied but Stylist Michelle, insisted I take up the seat. Once she started cutting, the customer of that seat just completed her washing and of course, wasn’t happy and so was her stylist who had to ask around for available seat for her customer.
    Once my hair were cut shorter, this stylist just whipped out the mirror and told me it’s done. I was shocked because it look nothing like the photos I had shown her of my previous cut done elsewhere. There is no trimming to style the hair nor adjusting the evenness and thinning the edges. I told the stylist, hey, you need to layer my hair like the photos. She said ok if you want it, she took out the thinning shears and chop chop chop the back of my hair and that’s it!
    I see she’s hopeless and just pay up and left.
    After my girl kept saying my hair doesn’t look good and noticed a few long strands sticking out. Apart from this, the back is slopping sideway. The right side of my hair is 1.5 cm longer than the left. And it look like a mushroom with uneven pointy ends here and there.
    Hence on Sunday, I went to ZA Stylist Salon again and straight away I look for Collin. She managed to do a decent cut for my hair and kept saying the fault lies with poor communication between me and her stylist.
    Hello, I’ve shown your stylist the photos, front and back of my previous hair cut and even explained to her that it’s LAYERED!
    She’s just too busy talking non stop to the customer sitting next to me. Yupe, that’s perhaps why she insisted I took over someone’s seat.
    If you expect a good cut, forget it! It’s just decent. Nothing impressive. But for colouring, seems to be their niche, perhaps.

    I can give 1 star. But I’m glad how Ms Collin willingly to ensure I left the Salon without having a bad cut, I changed that to 3 stars to be fair.

    Now, I just can’t wait for my hair to grow longer and hopefully, is able to find a good stylist near my area.

    Note: I’m reviewing on the skill. Michelle is friendly, but not the stylist who suits to cut my hair which is short bob look.

    Decided to try visiting this salon after reading the good reviews.

    However, this is the first time in my life that I have ever been insulted repeatedly during the haircut. The hair stylist (a middle aged auntie with shoulder-length hair) kept saying that my hair is “很难看” and “jin pai kwa” (ugly in mandarin & hokkien) while cutting my hair. Just so you know I’m not exaggerating, she said this 5-7 times throughout the hair cut (she said it for the last time as the assistant was styling my hair). All this just because I requested for a cut that she didn’t recommend.

    Hello auntie, I know that I need some time to grow out my sides, but it doesn’t give you the right to keep insulting my hair.

    The hairstylist also kept trying to get me to perm my hair and colour my hair, which I had to repeatedly say I didn’t want.

    This salon is a great disappointment and I would give 0 stars if I could. Never coming back here again 🤦🏻‍♂️ @ Collen if you see this, do take some time to speak to that auntie. This is super unprofessional behaviour.

    Highly recommend this place. There are a popular and fuss free salon. I got a quick appointment and Eddy really gave me a nice haircut ( even when I gave my suggestions for reference style, he quickly accommodated my request ) it was similarly priced to other salons around bukit batok area ( 30-35$ range) for wash & cut.

    Walked past this hairdresser yesterday and decided to get a hair cut for the first time. Eddie was fantastic at recommending how to cut my hair and what would suit my face shape. I’m very happy with my new hair cut and the hair wash massage was very relaxing and comfortable. Will definitely return again

    Shop is close cc at blk 275. Was introduced by cousin. Colleen,the stylist knows what style suit us and is patient to explain. Emily who attended to us, also a nice friendly person. Another plus point is the place is clean.

    Collin is affable and professional. She will advise on the suitable way to manage your hair base on your hair texture. I appreciate her service and also advice. Not pushy, sincere and friendly. Charges are reasonable too.

    I love the place.

    As a regular customer, I often visited and get my hair trimmed by the senior hair stylist, Eddie. He is fast and he always know what I want. without me explicitly telling him.

    If you get a haircut there, they will offer to give your a free post haircut rinse. This is something what a regular barber won’t do for you! As a short-hair guy, although there is no need to request to wash my hair, I will often request for one. Because the massage provided is so relaxing and good that I don’t mind just paying for it. The hair wash is secondary, the massage is primary!
