An excellent massage from the hands of Selina.

I came over from hotel and the staff were very accommodating as I arrived a bit late.

DO AVOID AT ALL COST. Here’s a lengthy in depth review so you can avoid the same mistake I did. I stepped into a shady massage shop without realizing. Visited this shop on 18 November 2022 after a long tiring day and I just wanted a proper massage.

The counter offers only a few treatments, acupoint Chinese massage, lymphatic drainage massage and some sensual oil massage (that should have been a red flag but oh well, it was promoted so decently who would have known). Environment outside and inside looked decent and clean, the counter lady aunty raved about their lymphatic oil drainage massage $92 and even demo how the strokes are and how it’s helpful for water retention, headaches and body ache and many customers enjoyed it (huge joke).

The massage was bad, in no way was this even a decent massage, not to mention a signature lymphatic drainage massage. Some rough kneads were done at random places of the back, most of it were off target and I was wondering where the said treatment was going to happen (fat chance, I should have gotten up and demanded a refund but hey I was undressed, oily and puzzled so I didn’t, wrong move) .

Finally oil was used but no it wasn’t relaxing or anywhere near what normal massage shops offered, it was more of like swiping oil along a tabletop. The part that got me unsettled was when the masseuse informed me that I was the rare female here among the male patrons, think of it as 1 or 2 female coming in that she saw in a month.

The massage ended with some hot stones being dumped on me for a short while. While heading out, I chanced upon a male patron dressing and tipping the other female masseuse. A short visit online to check on this parlor revealed a Facebook and website showing women posing and lewd short introductions. That’s when I realized that yes, this isn’t a normal massage parlour, it’s a rip off and shame to the counter aunty who knew and yet promised a young lady a relaxing proper massage when obviously it’s the wrong clientele. Afterwards, I discovered a post on local blogger Xiaxue ratting on them too.

95$ spend and wasted, fat chance I’m getting it back but hey at least a good warning to everyone out there, not to visit this massage parlour.

Walked over to this Massage Spa from the hotel across the street. First, the entrance was welcoming and the ladies at the front desk were very clear and professional.

I was offered a shower before we started, but did not as I had prepared in advance from the hotel. I was placed in a private room with shower attached and given paper underwear.

My 90 minute Full body Aromatherapy Swedish massage was very nice, with a few comments. I’m used to music and some sort of ‘scent’ in the room for these types of massages, but thankfully the pouring rain drowned out some of the noises from the other rooms.

Second, I wish the therapist had introduced herself.

I generally expect Swedish massages to be slow and relaxing, but we started with 20 minutes of pretty INTENSE muscle working and elbows and knees cranking into my muscle groups and along my back (craaack). You could tell the therapist was very well trained, because the pressure was in just the right spots, so it “helped”. Generally I don’t expect to be sore after a Swedish massage, but tomorrow I think I will have some soreness.

The rest of the massage was quite good, but the therapist skipped my feet completely – generally the arch of my foot is massaged during these sorts of massages. Make sure that you are comfortable with the paper underwear and my personal choice is always to retain my modesty and boundaries in all circumstances, even when asked.

If you’re nearby, I’d recommend this place – the massage was good – 90 min for around $100SG – and I’d probably go back a second time if I’m in the area. I’ll be more clear next time with what I want and don’t want in terms of pressure.

First time there and chose Qiqi. Biggest regret. She is unfriendly and doesnt speak much with a big attitude problem. Be careful not to get scammed also. just a heads up.

I visited on a Saturday afternoon with no booking, paid and went in for my massage. My therapist came in and I said hello as she didn’t say anything then she replied with an unenthusiastic hello. No name given. Until she said to turn over, that was all she said until I was told the massage was over.

At times when I was face down, the massage went limp and repetitive and I wondered if she was on her phone. When I turned over, her phone was on the stool she got up from.

The massage was 3/10 in terms of quality. The oil had no aroma and it was a $75 aromatherapy massage I decided to have as a treat. It was no treat!

When I got dressed, I checked the time as it felt a short massage. It was 6:58 and my payment receipt showed 5:59, making a 60 min appointment impossible unless the till was wrong but from memory it seemed right. I mentioned it to the receptionist but she just shrugged it off. I didn’t bother to show her the receipt and just left. The man inquiring about a massage also left!

Looking on this website now, it seems the aim of this spa is not for women to have a good massage. I couldn’t recognise my therapist on the website. It was a shame my experience was so poor, as its close to where I live and the surroundings were nice and the music in the room was relaxing.

Maybe a man will get a better experience.
