    I went for Jean Yip Hair Salon as this is a popular brand and there is a promo which comes with cut and colour. My short hair needs a revive badly and usually it is a piece of cake for many hair stylists. BUT I am not happy with the end results at JY, just trim and colour and the results is unsatisfactory and off. The skills and recommendations given is insincere and amateur. This is done by experienced hair stylist. (I have to go for a trim the next day at my hair salon nearby and the results is way much better!). Luckily I did not sign up for their package which is rather hard sell during payment. My conclusion is if you found a stylist that has customers’ best interest and decent haircut skill, stick with him/her regardless their profile.

    My R6 Pigmentation the result is very good and the IPL hair removal underarm is also very good, no more hair growth beautician yancy . The service is excellent. Very satisfied.thanks meiyu and olivia.

    Absolutely no concept of time for customers. It has been the 3rd time that they overrun for the services. Without warning for customers about the total time required for the entire session.

    A lot of hard selling from Olivia and other staff.

    Always trying to sell package after almost every session. Use words like “special price for student, promo only today, boss change price next time no more this price”. honestly after doing almost 30 sessions of underarm ipl, hair still grows back. waste time and waste money. just think about it if u’re gonna continue long term it’s rly a lot of money. they try to push u until u buy if not u can’t leave the room. yes it’s that bad. i felt very pressured and gave in in the end. ipl not effective at all. only chicken skin improved. don’t bother doing here. they don’t specialise in hair removal bcs it rly sucks. brazilian whitening didn’t work also.

    Poor service, insincere communication, not recommended

    I signed up for 6 sessions of hair removal service. It has been the worst service I have ever received. During the very first visit upon appointment, I already felt the perfunctory service attitude. I waited for quite long in the room before any staff appeared. During the service, the staff tried to hard sell me a more expensive package throughout.

    I went for two times before one of my sessions was cancelling without them notifying me. Had I not asked, they would have cancelled all my sessions without notifying me. Their reason for cancellation is that, the sessions has to be conducted in consecutive months. And when I tried to rebook another session within their so-called time period on a date in 2 weeks’ time, they said no more available slots. So I asked for a refund for the remaining two sessions (excluding the one canceled by them without notifying me) as I don’t want to go for their treatment anymore given such customer service. And they rejected.

    I asked to have a look at the agreement they asked me to sign upon my first visit. Since I have a busy schedule, I requested them to send me the picture of the agreement I signed, and they blushed it off by ignoring again, and insisted that I should visit their outlet physically to take a look at it.

    Wondering what had been on that contract they showed me for less than 1 minute before asking me to sign, I went down to take a look when I finally have a bit of free time during their opening hours. And there are 21 clauses on the agreement, mostly unfair to customer when issues arise. Half setting limitation and half pushing away liabilities if anything happens. And at the signature part, they even asked for NRIC, which they actually have no right to request for such private information.

    I saw many Jean Yip outlets, and this experience at the Bugis Junction outlet disappoints me. I suggest if anyone is considering signing any packages with them, think twice. And always protect your personal information. Do not be fooled by self-advertised “good comments”.

    Got my super gloss treatment done by Jessica and hairstylist by Stanley. Super love the after results where you’ll see the difference. Very professional and friendly. Highly recommended.

    Delightful service and great customer experience provided by Jessica and Ah Leng at the bugis branch. I have stubborn hair and oily scalp. Jessica and Ah Leng have never found it a chore to manage my hair.

    Been visiting jy bugis for 2 years. My stylist Joanne is very professional. The color and hairstyle she design for me never disappoints and received compliments wherever i go. There is this supergloss treatment introduced by Jessica, this is a must do treatment as it really makes my hair silky smooth even after bleaching so many times my hair is not dry at all. Thank u my double Js (Joanne and Jessica) for always making my hair so beautiful! 🏻
