    The manicurists at City Gate are arrogant and at every appointment, they hard sell yearly packages even before the previous ones have not been finished. If the customer do not buy their packages, they will give you attitude problems including handling the customers’ nails in a rough manner. I cannot wait to finish the package so that I don’t have to see their “damn” faces.

    Do not buy fave voucher with them. I walked in and the employee Chia hui told me they had immediate availability for gel manicure. I cancelled plans then because she confirmed they can do the manicure now. When I mentioned I had to redeem fave voucher they said they can’t do it and I need to book one day in advance – the manager Moon insisted on that. This is not mentioned in the fave conditions neither in the outlet. It is unacceptable to say yes and then cancel when they notice it’s a fave voucher.

    Very bad experience with this place. Staff were rude and not welcoming, even gossiping about hard selling in front of me. They consistently overcharged for their services, resulting in a wholly negative experience. Very bad experience overall will never recommend this place and this place should be close down due to its lack of hospitality.

    During my visit, I found the experience to be frustrating because the salon repeatedly imposed unexpected charges and last-minute add-ons, which seemed to be created on the spot. When I brought up the issue and mentioned their terms and conditions, they claimed it was stated there, but when I checked the app in front of them, they couldn’t provide a clear response. Absolutely will never come here again and wish they close down soon. They are not suitable to be serving in this industry. They are not professionals and seems to hate their job at work. Do not recommend.

    Do not go this place. They hard sell and bring every person working there to make you feel intimidated to buy something. I made a mistake of buying their package once and each time kept hard selling and charge so much for additional patterns. I asked my friend to finish my package because I hated this place and when she went, she being foreign and her english wasnt 100 percent, they tried to cheat her and oversell her packages. On top of that they call the other side, their hair salon to also sell packages. They are the worst nail salon ever been in SG. Do not waste money here.

    De Aurora Beauty was a bad experience for both of us.

    Service like a chore and extraction is not clean and details after telling them our concern. Mask dripping all over to hair and went to washroom to check. Face still not clean for both of us. We decided to tell them straight we are not coming back before they hardshell to us..

    I don’t usually give bad review about merchant. But this place is out of control, they charged me $128 for YY lash.

    The beautician is clearly amateur, my eyelids were painful as heck when she was doing the removal for me.

    ok never mind, the outcome was what triggered me, seriously ???? it’s like no difference before and after ?? and u don’t even feel like showing your client the result by giving a mirror ? only after when I asked it.

    And she had the audacity to ask me if i wanna sign up their membership / package…..

    Please do not come here ladies, not worth a single penny!

    The story I just heard from my friend was unbelievable. Her nails are barely colored, still costed $30, “protection” whatever she was forced to get was nothing more than nail scrub and she was charged $60. I do not recommend this place at all. Do not go. SCAM!!!

    Worst ever pedicure. I missed to watch out Google reviews before proceeded to aurora nail bugis. Girls sitting and doing pedicure for themselves so funny. I missed to review in the fave platform. So Google reviews best reach out public I feel. My voucher is for classic manicure and pedicure. I told the beautician only do pedicure. Name sake did and finished and they didn’t provide me the dryer to dry the nail polish. Even if I asked they said doesn’t come for this voucher. What an answer to customer. I think they are the worst nail service I ever met.

    I like my nails and it was well done. I did it yday. If they don’t hard sell more packages to me I would have given them 4 stars 😌

    I am not surprised many are feeling the same thing. The way they do business has to change otherwise their good service and skills will reap lesser than it should.

    Typically I don’t mind giving low rated services a second chance, but De Aurora Beauty has proven to me that a 2 star Google rated service is not worth my time. Disappointed is an understatement for my experience here. Everything about my visit here was horrendously unpleasant. This was likely the most disgusting experience I have ever had with a business. I am astonished at how ALL of the staff here do not even bother to put in the effort to provide customers a good experience here. Not to mention the exorbitant price charges! Seriously, wake up man, I’m sure thats not how a business is supposed to run. Will definitely not visit this place again, I wish I could give this horrible place a negative rating!

    DO NOT COME HERE. be prepared for the worst nail art and customer sercice. super horrible. showed her the reference picture and it really did not look like it at all. honestly absolutely unqualified and horrible customer service. i really hope to put 0 stars but sadly google does not allow for that. HORRIBLE.

    Just did my medin and pedicure today. I just stated my package and they keep asking me to add extras..the work was badly done. Just noticed the colour of my nail are different shade due to mixture if colour. The dead skin around my nail was not clear as well. When I rejected to sign up extras, they straight away turned their face to me. There is no service once you sign up, very sad for this industry.

    前台服务非常差，极差。骗你买卡的时候各种许诺，买了卡之后态度奇差，还各种隐藏消费。不建议去

    Came on through Fave and honestly, I was a little worried after reading Google reviews online (as you can see, it’s not the best) but I decided to use the service anyway since I had already bought it and it’s for a one-time function.

    I’m pretty easy-going to overall I didn’t find the service terrible. There was some up-selling and hard-selling but as long as you say no in a nice way, they can’t force you.

    I opted for the up-sell as it meant a wider variety of colours.

    Overall, my nails do look and feel great! 4/5 stars because there were some gel that went to the underside of my nail and it wasn’t cleaned off so it looks like bubbles (you can see from the pictures). I’m not super fussy and I didn’t pay a full price for this service anyways so to me it’s fine.

    Very comfy place and pleasant staff with good workmanship. Reasonable pricing. 1-star less for the very intense hard selling effort to buy their membership (despite repeated rejections from our end) though, but otherwise all’s good!
