In all my years of living I have never received such an abhorrent hair cut in my life. Sincerely I cannot even begin to describe in words how awful the next few months of my life are going to be with this disgrace of a hair cut. I came in with a photo, side bangs with layers and face framing pieces on the side. Instead I had all my layers chopped off, my side framing pieces chopped COMPLETELY off, and my bangs. Truly no words can begin to describe what was done to my bangs but for the sake of providing a visual without posting a picture to keep my very little dignity intact, I will try. Where I came in asking for wispy side bangs, I was given the bangs the Beatles had during the 60’s. I implore anyone looking to get their hair cut here to go somewhere else ANYWHERE ELSE in fact I can guarantee cutting your own hair will yield better results. Please let my suffering mean someone else won’t have to go through what I’m currently experiencing. If i could, I would give a 0 star review or even a -5 star review but that’s not physically possible so a 1 star will have to suffice.

Completely disgusting, you go for a haircut and what you get is an infection. And the worst thing is that the employees stole my bag.

I had really high hopes but was disappointed in my experience. The stylist seemed to have two clients booked for the same time and was far more interested in the other client so I felt very in the way. I also felt the stylist didn’t listen to my requests and just had his own idea of exactly what he wanted to do. I wanted highlights in dark blonde hair to help with some pretty minimal gray coverage. He insisted on balayage half-head but it didn’t even cover the greys so now I have to go elsewhere to do that. My hair has evened up very blonde which is the opposite of what I wanted as I wanted it to blend in with my natural. Plus it was $490 for medium length hair without even a cut.
It wasn’t the worst ever but the overall experience in the salon wasn’t enjoyable so I can’t recommend them to come up feeling your best.

Worst hair salon I’ve ever been because of the below reasons:

    1. Overcharging:

    – Charged more than the price listed on the website.
Not only did they overcharge me but when I sent a screenshot of the website with the original price and asked why I was charged more, they updated the website and sent me the screenshot of updated price.

    – I was charged $900+ for balayage and (maybe 2cm) trim.
My original hairdresser left blonde boudoir so I decided to get balayage from Leona. I’ve been to this salon 3-4 times and I requested exactly the same treatment as last time (I even showed pictures of my hair last time), so I didn’t ask about price. With my previous hairdresser, I never paid over $500 even with long hair and the result was great every time so I didn’t expect to pay double.

    2. Terrible customer service:

    – Hard to get a reply back, they read messages and don’t reply.
I had to send a follow up message multiple times to get the reply back. Considering the situation they overcharged me and fooling me by sending a screenshot of updated price – hard to believe.

    – When I called to speak to Leona about pricing, she said ‘maybe the price was updated and maybe other employees didn’t know, I don’t know’, no clear explanation, no apology – again, hard to believe.

    – They agreed to touch-up my hair because it’s not really back to back balayage and patchy and orange. In the end, they agreed to charge me for touch-up because it’s been months since the treatment – we had trouble rescheduling the touch-up for many reasons including that Leona was away or she had a full schedule.

    3. Terrible treatment / result

    – Despite the price I’ve paid, it’s the worst balayage I’ve ever got. Some parts are orange and obviously not back to back balayage (it should be brighter all over but it just looks like normal balayage).

    – Leona said the shampoo and conditioner that I’m using are causing it, BUT I’ve been using the same shampoo and conditioner for years and my previous hair designer had no problem and it did not affect balayagee.

    – I had a very tight schedule on the day of the treatment so I triple-checked how much time is needed and they said 3-4 hrs will be enough but it took 6+ hrs.

    – Also, there was clearly something wrong. At some point, 3 hairdressers came over to me and looked at my hair and whispered to each other. I asked what was wrong and they didn’t explain.

Just wanted to share my experience with Blonde Boudoir that I have been going for years. Best scalp massage, best service, best drinks, great music and great team! Have met for my 1st time Cyril who has joined the team recently. Not only I had fun time, but I was amazed by the hair style that I got! He is talented (great experience in France) and it’s a chance to have Cyril in the team!

I am giving the place below average (average being 3) for the following reasons. I asked for an approximate cost for a full head of highlights before I booked an appointment, the actual cost of it was almost double what was originally indicated at 600+ (which is the most expensive head of highlights I’ve ever had). They did explain this before I started, which was frustrating as I’d already blocked out the morning for the appointment, travelled there was already sitting in the chair, and was flying abroad for a wedding where I was a bridesmaid the next day so I went ahead. Whilst I know you want to look at someone’s hair you should really have a standard range for services like other salons to manage clients expectations (and budget). What was the most disappointing was that my hairdresser was a terrible communicator, the worst I’ve ever experienced. Assuming he was hungover the morning of my appointment, it was painful trying to get a word out of him, he just refused to engage in conversation and I told him I was uncomfortable with such a short talk about my hair as it was the first time we had met each other. I tried to explain I wanted creamy blonde highlights and went on to explain I wanted to accentuates cooler tones as warmer tones washes me out. He did mention beige but of course beige can be cool or warm. Instead he made my hair golden which really wasn’t what I had hoped for, and wouldn’t have happened if he’d engaged in a more productive conversation at the beginning (colour is complicated so we have to make sure we are on the same page). He put a cooler toner on which helped but that only lasted a couple of weeks and now my hair looks awful and not what I wanted at all. I then asked for the owner of the salon to call me so I could explain and the receptionist called, which I missed as I have a young child at home. I asked them to arrange a time instead to call back. They never did.
The only positive to this expensive experience is that I probably had one of the better blowdrys I’ve ever had – great work on that.

Cyril is an amazing barber who is passionate his work. The scalp and face massage was a great addition to the hair work, which made the whole service complete. Highly recommended!

I always look forward coming here. Implacable service, genuinely talented masters whom you can trust your hair and awesome atmosphere. The top place in Singapore for colour and treatment. People normally complain how expensive it’s here but I can say it’s totally worth it. Can’t wait for my next visit with a super talented hair genious Mo 😊

While I loved the result, I went in for what I thought would cost me roughly $500+ for a full head of highlights, as indicated on their price list, to a $900 bill including a $700 “color correction” which was never mentioned to me, was the same amount of work and time as highlights, and is nowhere to be found on their price list !

I asked for explanation which they read and didn’t reply to so I had to follow up. they told me a color correction took more “time” to analyze and it took them 5mns to look at my hair after I simply said I wanted to go blonder. My color didn’t need to be “corrected” I just wanted it to be lighter. Pure extortion I’ve never paid so much for highlights in my life, and I’ve been to expensive salons.

My first time at Blonde Boudoir and I found my salon in Singapore. Everyone was so friendly and there was a great atmosphere. Mo my stylist was amazing I couldn’t sing his praises enough. I completely trusted him with my hair and he was able to take all the photos I showed him of what I wanted and make it even better than I could have imagined! It’s the best colour and cut I’ve had. Definitely a must here in Singapore and can’t wait to keep coming back!

I very very rarely leave reviews but after my 2nd poor experience I felt I had to.. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of revisiting this salon after a frustrating first experience in 2020 (see below). This time I thought as the colour (not cut) was well done in 2020 I would visit again with the stylist who corrected the cut. Prior to my appointment I was quoted $500 for colour, cut, treatment and blow dry – so I was understandably shocked when it came to $710 without the treatment (for some reason they bypassed this all together without letting me know). The colour is not anywhere near the caramel & brown photo examples I showed so although its ok – its not what I asked for and that was not mentioned once in the process. The cut, took about 5 mins and is nothing special either. Also, the whole 4.5hrs I sat there not one person tried to engage in a conversation with me – I believe when you go to the hairdressers and pay such a high price you should ultimately be paying for customer service and the environment and both of these areas are flawed and missing.

Sadly I left the salon with a below standard blow dry, I had to ask for product to be applied, the top was fluffy (irons would have helped the finish) and basically rushed straight home to re-do the straighten and finish myself so my hair at least looked like I had been to the salon. Ultimately a very disappointing experience and would not recommend a visit to this place!

**update: now that I have washed my hair I can see that my hair is damaged and broken from the colour applied. Ultimately my hair is now in worse condition than 3 days ago when I entered the salon.

(*2020 a previous stylist coloured and then cut my hair whilst wet & curly and then when they later blow dried straightened it was clear that the cut was double the length off as agreed and an extremely uneven haircut. Resulting in having to go back and have another stylist correct it and ultimately take off a further inch.)

The Prices are crazy expensive. My partner paid almost about $450 for a basic roots colour ,toner and blowdry. When she asked the stylist ,why was it so expensive? The replied was…. if you are not comfortable with the prices perhaps you should try somewhere else.

Leona is amazing. She truly understands how to maintain and/or repair any issues with blonde hair. During Covid times when another salon turned my orange, Leona repaired and fixed the colouring. Most recently I sent my visiting mama to get a full head of highlights and it was done perfectly. You are in the best hands with Leona and I wouldn’t risk going anywhere else if you are blonde!

Sebastien was able to keep the blond well enough in my hair, however, it was inconsistent, every time I went in it was a different formula resulting in a variation of shade. I would actively ask him to write down the formula to ensure consistency, but it was hit or miss. My main complaint with Sebastien is the shadiness around payment and upselling. He often tried to up sale on color or haircuts. In my 1 year with him I said no to a haircut every time. The last time I went to him, he insisted and I relented for a trim. A trim of 5 snips (literally), he charged me for a full haircut. I didn’t notice this until I got home. I called, and they said “we don’t have a different price for trims.” If you choose to go to Sebastien GET THE PRICE AHEAD of your service as he is very shady in this area. The experience of being upsold every time I visited felt like the junk ads you get in your email box, it’s just too much.

Not sure if they’re good as I didn’t use them but their bedside manner was disappointing. Went it for a consult a few months ago and was thoroughly disappointed. The stylist remarked multiple times how horrible and ugly my hair was (exact words used). As he kept tsking and sighing, he even called over the owner who agreed the same. At the time I had bleached hair and had gone in to ask about touching up my roots and while my hair wasn’t in great shape, their use of language was incredibly disappointing. I felt completely shocked and self conscious and couldn’t leave fast enough.

COMPLETELY DESTROYED MY HAIR. I had a full head of highlights and the stylist left bleach on my hair for over 2 and a half hours whilst he did someone else’s hair. After they washed it, it didn’t even look like hair anymore. It was MELTING OFF. Every time I touched it would just melt off in my hand. I told the stylist and he said ‘don’t be so dramatic’. My hair is completely ruined, I’m devastated. I’ll be lucky if it doesn’t all snap off and fall out it is so thin and brittle right up to the root. I was offered no apology and the biggest joke is they charged me $530!!!! $530 to have my hair ruined and fall out. DO NOT go to this salon.
