    My treatment was done more than a year ago. everytime I saw their advertisement I will feel agitated, feeling that they are cheating other people again.

    Recently they advertised on TV, which means more people will be cheated, as such I decided to write reviews on their service and share my bad experiences.

    Their treatment caused scars to skin and these caused more pigmentation.

    They applied some liquid which smell like vinegar but the therapist said that it wasn’t vinegar. then she used cotton bud to keep rubbing on the area where have pigmentation. although the therapist put mask on my face to help soothing, but
    after every each treatment my face was swollen, with many scars, and thereafter the scars become dark spots, this is know as PIH.

    And the therapist did not have professional knowledge on skin.
    I am not like some of their customers, have zero knowledge of skin. Her explanation on my scars were all nonsense.

    My last few sessions were changed to facial treatment by another therapist. And they asked me to pay extra if I want to change package, but I refused. I insisted didn’t want that harmful treatment.

    Although I had feedback and complaint through their app, but never received any replies. and nothing was done. no compensation, no apologise.

    Lastly hope my review will help to stop other being harm by this irresponsible “beauty” salon.

    Anyone who is thinking to go for the cheap facial trial. Please take time to the reviews before you are trap. I fully agree with the other reviewers definitely not recommend Shakura to anyone. After signing package with them, their beauty consultant attitude change. If you miss an appointment you have to wait as they don’t have enough room to cater to the many customers that have sign up. On the whole my experience wasn’t great at all and regret to sign wirh them

    Poor+rude consultant service with low quality and rushed facials. Consultants did not deliver what they promised when I signed for package. They insisted that eye and shoulder massage are not included but that was part of the upsell which I fell for. I’m hoping there can be a refund as it’s really a waste of time and money.

    Hi! I would definitely not recommend Shakura to anyone. They fleece people by offering trial facial at a cheap price & then trap you into spending a bomb on a package of 15/20 facials at more than three times the price of the trial facial. After spending an exorbitantly big amount the outcome definitely was not as promised. Not only was it below my expectations, my consultant tried her best to push me into buying about 10/12 more sessions but by then I’d already made up my mind that it definitely wasn’t worth it. On the whole my experience wasn’t great at all

    Have been with Shakura for a few years but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to sign up for any package unless you like to be upset whenever you visit them.
    Initially it was pretty good because I had a consultant who was in charge of my package and she did a great job! Not sure exactly when but they have changed my consultant on a very regular basis and I have no idea who is my consultant – even till now.
    1. Called in to make an appointment, told them I was having a terrible break out and they could only give me a slot in 1 month time (by then my break out would have already recovered). I tried to call in as ‘new’ customer to see if the slots were all fully taken and to my surprise, they have slots for new customers. So, existing customers are not really a priority because you have already signed the packages from their hard-sell methods. I was upset and the manager called me back and got me a slot in the following week and she asked to give them another chance, so I did.
    2. Went for facial the following month (pre-booked 1 month in advance) and the consultant was super rough and did a hasty job. Certain treatments were omitted and I asked her why did she omit it out, she said that it’s because she’s busy…. Called in to ask for refund and a new manager pacified and asked for another chance again.
    3. Made another appointment, thinking to give them the last chance because I was already pretty done with them. I went down to the outlet and just 15 minutes before the appointment, I’ve received a call from the customer service, she told me that my consultant was unable to attend to me and there’s no other consultant available. – which means, I should just go back home because no one can attend to me? I asked her that and she couldn’t answer at all. I demanded for refund. The overall experience and service were BAD. People, please sign package with Shakura only if you like to pay for substandard services.

    Glad to say that my experience with Shakura is on the pleasant side despite seeing a handful of bad reviews on hard-selling. Was hesitant but decided to go for the $48 trial ‘cus I really wanted to get rid of my stubborn pigmentation, and I wouldn’t mind signing a package if it really works. Here’s my thoughts:

    1) Front desk greeted warmly, had a good first impression.
    2) Had to wait awhile for consultant in a room, but can just spend time on phone, not a big deal.
    3) Consultant Shenice is very professional and nice, she explains the possible reasons for my pigmentation and told me I’m only at stage 2, it’s easy to get rid but of course not in one session. Then we proceed to treatment, no mentioning of package.
    4) Treatment is good and relaxing, I felt that my skin was very hydrated. Shenice then proceed to review my skin with the scanner, and I do see that my pigmentation was lightened and my complexion brightens a lot too (which is kinda rare ‘cus I stay up late every night).

    It wasn’t hard-selling for me ‘cus I am sold by the result itself. In just three sessions, my pigmentation is already not as visible and I am no longer overly conscious about it even without makeup. Will continue to go for my remaining sessions. One star less as the schedule is very pack, need a bit of arrangement to try and fix an appointment.

    I have been with Sakura since April 2022. Starting using the (1)$48 for first trial session, after the beautician told me that is not enough for my ance scar, ask me to sign for a 30sessions package of (2)5k by installment. After done 3rd sessions, another consultant ask me sign 4k plus and I told her there is over my budget, at the end they ask me sign (3)1k plus for try the 10 sessions first and they keep told me that all by instalment, no worries. Finally, I signed the the 1k plus sessions.
    After 2 more times, thsere recommended the mask for me and ask me to buy it to good my skin hydronate, since I feel that the mask price is affortable so that I bought it. It was (4)$70 plus.
    Yesterday I went to the branch, they come again. They said is my birthday month and free me the booster. So, after the treatment done, tgey ask me wait inside the room ask me sign another package additional (5)3k plus, I told them let me think about it. Another consultant said don’t need to think, the treatment is very good for my scar and come in another consultant and said to me”you are no money again? ask your bf sponsor you” I totally shocked at all, they are like loan shark. Like the treatment MUST sign today. After that, they saw my face changed and feel unhappy, they stop talking and let me go.
    This is quite bad experience with Sakura @DB branch.

    Super persistent hard selling ! Trying hard to upsell on my 2nd facial! Non stop talking, can’t even enjoy . I felt that the consultant was trying to get her job done in a rush! While massaging, also rushing! In and out the room like 4 times! Terrible experience! I have to bare with this rubbish for another 15x!
    Suspect that the good reviews were fake!

    Very bad place, very terrible customer services done by unprofessional beautician. I am quite surprised that there are so many good reviews of this place.
    1. Booked a trial at $48 on 21/10 as I have seen alot of good reviews. The customer service booked in an appointment for me promptly and left a good impression.
    2. The “consultant” who scanned my face was impatient and unfriendly. She knew that I was here for the trial, just did a few photo scan and without even letting me know the issues at hand, she rushed me into paying first. After I paid the deed is done. (Probably the worst because you pay even without experiencing the service, normally I get the service and paid afterwards).
    3. I waited 20 mins before the beautician came in. I had to even asked someone as to why I have been waiting for so long. The beautician serene siow was one of the worst I have ever seen. She asked me if there is any concerns/issues with my skin. I questioned her as the previous consultant had already scanned my face and should know what’s wrong with my face. Without explaining to me, how do I know what is wrong with my face? Shouldn’t there be any prior communication between the consultant and beautician? Why are there different staff handling different segments?
    4. Of course the hardselling came in, Serene say I need another treatment today, cannot do the $48 trial but I was insistent on doing it since I have already paid. How can u let ur customer do another treatment and pay for it when she has already paid for one treatment already? She then commented that I have alot of blackheads but then say cannot do all the extraction/removal of blackhead? Then afterwards changed her statement saying she will skip a few steps of the treatment because I am on trial, not full session. She said u paid how much for ur usual facial? We are not the usual salon you know, we don’t do extractions. But then retracted her statement by saying that we are very reputable beauticians, u must trust us. During the treatment which lasted only 30 mins max (even though the WhatsApp person said it will be 2 hours), no blackhead removal was done. Just applied two facial masks which were easily done at home. Now u tell me it is worth even $48?
    5. Very impatient, very hasty treatment, no words of concern or reassure was made. Just alot of statements like oh because u have trial treatment.
    6. I went to the counter to question the service provided, they went to find someone to talk to me. Took 30 mins for them to come back.
    This place doesn’t value customers, they just want your hard-earned money and that’s it. Really questioning the services provided by serene siow.

    My consultants, Verna and Bernice, have solid product knowledge and are constantly able to address my various skin issues. My skin has gone from dull and congested to radiant and glowing after the past couple years of consistent treatment. I love how there is no one size fits all solution; instead, customized treatments are tailored to your individual skin needs for maximum results.     Saw a couple of advertisements put up by them and decided to try it today, 3March. I was assigned to the consultant, Yuki. Honestly, nothing to shout about. She does the norm as all other therapists do. She commented that my dark circle is horrible. Oh well, I have thereafter checked with some friends, their response was is it so? Horrible? That’s equal to the panda. But definitely it is not till that extent. People like us who patronise beauty salon are someone who love and takes good care of our skin. We maybe sleeping late and resulting some dark circles at times. But certainly, not as she described, horrible. I was quite taken aback but did not sound out and continued with her treatment. I must also comment that her skill to apply mask on my face were equally horrible. It was overly flooded and it all started dripping off my face and ended up behind my ear, on my hair and the bed. She did not clean up properly in the end. The overall experience were very norm. The entire session were a kinda rush through. Indeed it is for just $48nett job. The start were a quick wash, a thin mask on, some scrub, a rather rushing facial massage then followed by a mask on (the one which flood over from my face) and subsequently, cleansed off, toner on, serum on and that’s it. In fact, no hard selling but they did mentioned it is most ideal for a package which is worthwhile. But, I opted out. I have tried many many facial over the years and uses many many products just like anyone out there does. If you ask me, I would say this is a place for just once will do. No return and no love lose. I would pay a place where I can feel some sense of warmth and good aura but certainly not this. For all the steps and things the beautician does and applied on, I would rather use my own mask and do my own which it does not make much of a difference versus paying the money for the job.

    Pearlyn is so professional at Plaza Singapura outlet. I highly recomend her for doing your facial at this outlet. What I like the most is no hard selling and I feel that she is really genuine in giving advise on what is good for your skin. The staff also is very friendly. Overall a great place to get pamperd.

    My wife signed for a facial package for thé 2 of us. The first 3 couple sessions by Isabelle were very good. The last couple session by another therapist in December was terrible even painful and the attitude was unacceptable (unprofessional and antipathetic, without explanation on why Isabelle wasn’t here.
    At the end, she refused to take our next appointment arguing that they were full until March because of CNY.
    For the past few days, my wife has tried to book our next and last couple session. No one is replying to her even if they are visibly online on WhatsApp.
    We don’t recommend anyone to consider Shakura. Many options are way better especially at Bugis Cube.

    Glad to hear many people’s positive experiences. On the contrary for me, repeated contacts over more than a year with this place since had signed a package. 1) Hard-selling: nearly not allowed to leave the place despite telling her was late for subsequent appointment. 2) Second round of hard selling: when I declined, change in attitude by consultant. 3) Tried some “new treatment” on me which was not part of package. Not explained well-explained (already midway thru usual treatment); left a mark on my face. Clearly an attempt for me to add on to package 4) Made appointment via phone call which they failed to log into their system. Showed up despite very busy schedule. Initially no apology and just told me to come back another day. No attempt to compensate for what was clearly their mistake ? 5) No comment on treatment effect as don’t attend frequent enough due to repeated unpleasant experiences. have given feedback several times, nothing gets done, no response.
