    This was the worst perming experience of my life – I did a root perm and a fringe perm that cost $425 and my fringe is flatter than when I even came in. Go somewhere else. Also no one actually speaks English apart from the cashier

    I wish I can stick around a bit more but the last 3 visits were really disappointing. So I had to change my review from 5 to 1 star.

    It’s clear to me that Joel is only good with perms. Colours and rebonding are not good. I had a great perm a few years ago; but since then everything else went downhill.

    My last visit was the last straw. I paid $510 for a whole head rebonding that did not look like rebonding. And because my ends were damaged after the lotion, Joel has to trim it off, he still charged me $90 for it. Normally salons don’t do that! And I just came 1 month ago to cut my hair, and he knew that! (Or he don’t care and don’t remember – even though I repeated so many times. See below point on comms).

    I know he’s generally very quiet and don’t talk much. But I would really appreciate some advice or more comms on the outcome expected, what can or cannot be done. When I ask for some recommendations from Joel, he will be like this ok, that also ok. Totally no recommendations.

    I think he takes customers like me for granted because I always come back and buy packages so I don’t have to be happy? Well now – I’m really unhappy and I’m not coming back.

    Director-stylist Joel Park at the Ngee Ann City salon gave me the Korean S-curl perm and treatment in September 2023 – and the curls still have a lot of life in them even after one year. There is hardly any maintenance needed – after a wash, I apply basic curling cream, blow dry normally, and apply hair oil. No styling required. The treatment also made the top part of my hair straighter and silkier-feeling, which is a great save as my hair was poofy, kinky and dry from previous colourings at another salon. I still receive compliments about the natural-looking curls till today and I’ll be back for a refresh. Because the curls are so pretty and long-lasting, it’s definitely worth the money. Joel is professional, attentive and puts customers at ease, so I know I’m in good hands. Highly recommended.

    I initially had some challenges with my S perm from the salon, as managing the curls after every wash was tough. However, after sharing with them my feedback, they were incredibly understanding and helped me tame my curls.

    Joel and the team really listened to my concerns, and I have to say, the difference was amazing! The curls now look so much better, and styling my hair is so much easier. I really appreciate how they took the time to make things right — it shows how much they care about their customers and the quality of their work. Now, I’m so happy with how my hair turned out! A huge thank you to Joel and the team for turning things around. Would definitely recommend their dedication and customer service!

    Did a c curl perm 3 months back and only found out recently from another stylist that my hair got over processed and hence damaged from the perm. I had tons of split ends and my hair was super dry after the perm. Contacted the stylist NARI PARK and she was vindictive and did not offer any help at all. To top it off the experience at the salon was below average. I was shifted from my seat thrice for no reason apparent to me.

    Might be the exception here but had a bad experience at the salon. Started off with a 30min wait at the salon after the time of the appointment before the hair cut started. Seemed like the stylist, Joel, was attending to a couple of people at the same time.

    Before this cut, I had my hair grown out for over four months and had a perm. I wanted to maintain the length of the hair (along with the perm) and had requested to just shorten the sides and back. Not sure if I was misunderstood but the length of my hair ended up being halved, which undid the perm I had. It also felt like the hair cut was rushed through in just 10-15 minutes.

    After the cut, my hair was given a quick wax before being hurriedly shown out and just as quickly I was shown out, Joel went back to attend to other clients.

    Overall, I felt the process was late and rushed, while the request I made for my hair went unheard.

    When it comes to decision on who to go to for my hair cut, styling or treatment etc, Joel Park is always my first choice. He has always been my preferred hairstylist and I have been engaging his hair services (haircut, c curl perms, volume rebonding etc.) for many years since 2016. He is experienced, professional and meticulous. He will do his best to deliver the quality hair services you have asked for. 😊

    First got my mens perm by Yuna Jeong on Dec 2023, and it lasts till now June 2024. Go back to her every 2 months for my haircut and always leaving the salon satisfied 😁

    Went for wash & blow under senior stylist Nari before our photoshoots. She was kind and trendy, and had put in lots of effort and care although it was just styling. We were very satisfied with the outcome. Highly recommmend!

    Had an amazing experience with Nari Park! Came in do rebonding for men & she understood the style that I’m trying to go with.

    Booked at 7pm & felt bad that she was the last one to leave. However, she did not rush the service & was attentive throughout. (E.g. She taught me how i should style my hair & let me know the condition of my scalp).

    Not sure why there is a same booking with other customer around the same timing which cause her to be busy as compared to other stylist especially it’s nearing the closing time. Please assist to review this.

    Nevertheless will definitely visit Nari Park again to get my hair done. Good job especially she is new here 👍🏻

    Been with my hairstylist Joel Park for quite sometime. He is a very committed hairstylist and he make sure he will do a good job on your hair. I did C curl perm and haircut, the outcome is always good. If you are looking for a Korean perm or change of hairstyle, please do give him a try.
