    Called to book appointment and was informed that I had sufficient credits. When I headed down, I was informed that the credits were sufficient but expired, and needed 5-7 working days to reactivate. A payment was thus required first, and I could use the credits another time. Really dislike such practices from the company to force cash payment from the customer. Haircut was so-so for the price you pay lol

    Served by therapist William and I thoroughly enjoyed it. He gave very good advice on how to maintain my hair and recommended a haircut that would suit my face shape better. Love it!

    Wife went to this branch for the first time, as the one at bishan was permanently closed.

    She was attended by a local stylist, and was told that its a MUST to wash, and can’t cut without washing. When asked the stylist why need to wash, the stylist replied that IT IS COMPANY POLICY & nothing he can do.

    This is strange because the outlet at bishan didn’t have this rule.

    Anyway, the price for dry cut is $28 which was what my wife had requested but they insist that she go with wash + cut which is $72( inclusive of the plus plus ), so meaning washing alone cost $38 dollars!!

    If she dont get the washing, she was told they unable to cut. Ridiculous, but since already travel until there, so just try. But we still don’t understand why it is a must to wash before cutting.

    The washing was ridiculously short, around 5 mins only, which I think is a ripped off, considering we paid $38 dollars for it. Anyway, haircut by the stylist was just average, if we compare to the local stylist from bishan outlet, which was way much superb.

    Anyway, we still cannot understand the compulsory washing, so we decided to email the company with data & facts, as well as who the stylist was. To our surprise, the company replied us via email us that IT IS NOT COMPULSORY to get a washing done, customers can still go for just a haircut!!. However, stylist can insist customers to wash their hair if they are found to be using gel or styling cream.

    But for my wife’s case, she wasn’t using any gel or styling form. Anyway, company did not offer any apologies on the bad services by the novena branch.

    I am writing this, to warn potential new customers, who are going to the novena branch. I find ethically, this branch management has very serious issues, which they need to resolve.

    This will be the first & last time going to novena branch, hopefully things will change so that no one else need to suffer bad & unethical services.

    Nick at Apjgujeong Novena Square 2 highly highly highly recommended. Went in to get a new haircut and he recommended a very trendy and gorgeous haircut to suit my angular face and gave recommendation on how to manage my new hairstyle.10/10.
