    First time perming my hair and I’m vv happy with the result! Lemon was knowlegable and patient in explaining and finding my desired perm style. Although my hair is on the shorter side, the curls turned out really well! Interior of the salon is also really cosy plus a v cute bathroom. Definitely will come back again

    My daughter and I visited this salon for the first time. Lemon did a fabulous job with highlighting (to the greatest detail) and colouring my hair (masterfully making my white hair, present and future, ‘blend well’ with the new colour) while Tyler did a fantastic job perming my daughter’s hair with ‘natural looking’ and bouncy curls! We enjoyed our experience there and the lovely and clean ambience made it comfortable to stay there for almost 5 hours. Well done, guys! 👍👍

    I would like to thank Tyler and his team for an amazing experience. This is the first time perming my hair and Tyler was pretty meticulous in finding out my goals and expectations. He also enquired about my job and how I need to tie my hair at work to see if the perm will be easy to maintain thereafter. He was extremely detailed in how to blow dry and take care of the perm afterwards. He even told me some concerns previous clients had and explained to me in advance some issues that I might face. For eg. that the permed hair would appear straight after washing and combing which is expected and how to dry the hair after such that the curls remain luscious. For a first time perm I would have probably panicked if that happened but because Tyler had anticipated this I was not anxious at all when it happened at home. Overall it was such an enjoyable hair experience and I will strongly encourage anyone perming their hair for the first time to visit Featherz Studio!

    The salon was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly as well. The owner provided a haircut and a service called texture control. They styled it exactly how I wanted, and I am extremely satisfied with the result. This is a salon I would definitely recommend to friends.

    Small hair studio with limited space, the stylist is ok, tried to upsell but at least not over charging.
    Unfortunately, the overall experience is not positive, the female staff is very rough on washing my hair, I got visibly irritated scalp and dandruff issue after my visit, I never hand dandruff issue before and obviously this is caused by the rough washing. Also from previous reviews, seems I’m not the only one experienced this. I will not recommend this place.

    tbh was contemplating if I should come because of some bad reviews I’ve seen haha but decided to just it a try still. Was served by stylist lemon 🍋!! very friendly and attentive guy and no upselling at all !! Didn’t get to try the hair perm for some reasons but very satisfied with how my hair turned out. Thank you 🙏🏻

    I got my hair permed by Tyler here. He provided good personalized advice regarding the kind of perm that was suitable for my hair and how to maintain the perm afterwards. He was also skilled and nice! I am very pleased with the curls as it kind of gives the look of a blowout even if I don’t style it:)

    Had a perm done by senior stylist Lemon, and the result was exceptional – love the voluminous natural waves of my hair.

    He was not only highly skilled but also warm and friendly, making the entire process enjoyable.

    Will not recommend this salon. Permed my hair the first-time and the curls did not last even a day and was back to being almost straight when I went back home. The hair stylist probably already knew but still proceeded to charge me the money, told me to try washing my hair and try drying the hair as he instructed. It is no wonder he did not even bother to show me my perm via the mirror and sent me to the lift immediately after payment. I was (up)sold something to control my frizz ($100). If hairstylist is not confident to do it, get the senior stylist for help or just turn me down. Asked for a refund but the salon declined multiple times and insisted I come down to redo the perm – while the curls did last, it was messy and like a bird nest. For a salon specialising in perming hair, it was a disappointing experience and a complete waste of time and money. Was definitely not a great experience but fully acknowledge their effort in customer recovery. Writing this one month after the perm I did.

    Love the perm thank u cici! Since it was my first time perming my hair, she went the extra mile to explain how it works and suggested which perm would be suitable based on the condition of my hair! Great service and love how it looks ❤️ would definitely recommend!

    I’ve been perming my hair for 20 years now and this was probably one of the best, if not the best experience I’ve had. I did the S perm 2.5 weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Over the recent years, whenever I did a perm, the curls would disappear really quickly and I thought it was just the quality of my hair decreasing (due to aging and the chemicals), but Featherz Studio proved me wrong. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to perm your hair!

    First time dyeing my hair at a salon and paid 299 for a blue dye + treatment (199) and a stripping process to strip my natural colour (100). The stripping process was just applying the chemical all over my head and that’s it. The blue dye mixture was very rough on my scalp and 5 minutes in my scalp was burning and had to wash it off. The treatment was also just soaking my hair in mist for 6 min and washing it with good shampoo i guess. Anyways i expected more from a salon with this pricing and such high rating but it wasn’t up to my expectations.

    I was contemplating whether to write a review, but after reading some of the negative comments here, I realised I was not the only one with the same experience.

    I perm and dyed my hair at this salon and gave it 2 stars as the experience was not bad as a new customer during the first visit. (Except that I felt that my hair was cut a lot shorter than I expected but I trust the stylist to know what is good for the perm).

    After my first wash at home, I realised the curls got straighter especially more so on one side of my hair which made it look unbalanced. Overall, I wished the curls could be more voluminous as well, as the middle parts of the hair are mostly straight except for the curls at the end.

    I appreciate that the stylist allowed me to revisit to check on my curls. However she was very defensive about it and commented that it’s the style, and the way I blow my hair.

    Anyway, after i insist that one side is flatter, she did take one (really) small bunch of the hair to perm it again which I knew wasn’t enough but she wasn’t really open to feedback anymore so I choose to trust the process again.

    BUT while doing my hair, she asked if I am someone who is very organised at home. I told her no I don’t have OCD. (Thinking back I still feel so uncomfortable with her remarks). My curls were unbalanced because she thinks I am OCD?! She was also abit rough with me during the washing of my hair as well.

    Anyway, after I wear my blow dried hair styled by the salon out on the exact same night, my friend commented that one side of my hair is flatter (without me saying anything about my hair to her).

    That’s when I know I am not being overly sensitive nor OCD, thank you.

    I really wanted to like this salon as I thought if she would have listened to the preference of my curl style, she could salvage the curls.

    But I guess I rather rely on my curler than going back to get snide remarks.

    I had my perm done by Tyler, and he was incredibly patient in answering all of my questions while delivering exactly the type of curls I wanted. I’m super pleased with the results! The salon has a lovely, spacious ambience that made me feel at ease and welcome. I would definitely recommend Tyler and this salon for anyone looking to get curls.

    Did hair colour and bleaching at Featherz Studio. It was completely painless and fast and the results exceeded my expectations! Even though their speciality is perm, I recommend coming even for colour!

    I’ve been planning my hair appointment with Cici at Featherz Studio for quite some time, and today was finally the day! Almost 9 months ago, I had a perm and wanted to go for another one, but Cici recommended that I grow my hair out a bit and trim away the old curls first for a fresh start. Her advice was spot-on, and the results were absolutely worth the wait.

    This time around, Cici gave me a perm that was unlike any I’ve had before. Instead of curling all the way down, she suggested keeping the ends straight and curling the mid-lengths, which gave my hair a beautiful, modern shape that looks fantastic. The outcome is truly amazing, with so much more dimension and style than previous perms. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

    Highly recommend Cici and Featherz Studio if you’re looking for expert advice and exceptional results!

    Thanx to Lemon for helping me to achieve this perming effect. He was patient in explaining everything from start to finish e.g. which kinda perm suit me, which treatment to go for, etc, and how I shld care for the perms (from blowdryin to applying the curling cream). He was also friendly n sincere throughout the session. Thanx, Lemon 😊

    I told my stylist Lemon I wanted smaller cute curls as near to my root as possible and he was like “ARE U SUREE. It’s gonna be frizzy 💀”

    But he did such a superb job after listening and looking at all my references and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. (Most perm stylists are quite reluctant to do this style btw, cos it could go really bad) He was careful and did a strand test on my hair too, before going in on my whole head

    I came here through a friend recc and tried their perm promo first. And personally it’s my new fav perm salon. The place is cozy and warm and no hard selling.

    They offered water, coffee, snacks and wifi which made for a great working environment while I was perming my hair. Also 10/10 for super nice toilet

    Im writing this review for them because their salon experience was so relaxing and I’m so pleased with the job Lemon did and he deserves a good review 👍🏻 also great job to the girl who washed and massaged my head it was soo relaxing I wanted to sleep and not work

    Was very happy with the service and results of my permed hair.. had been trying to find a place that can help me to integrate my curled hair to perm hair as I always do root rebond with perming which the whole process takes extremely long…

    Am so glad I came here as the hairstylist Tyler could do it for me… Tks for the great hosting…

    I did a texture control treatment done by Cici, and I am very happy! Throughout the process, she had a smiling face and gave me great ideas for my hair look. I asked for a natural, straight look since my hair is super dry and curly, and she made it look healthy and beautiful. Special thanks to the person who patiently washed my hair as well. Their attention to detail and care were amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back for a root touch-up. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for fantastic hair care! ❤️

    Had a perm done at Featherz Studio, and I really recommend their services and would definitely return again! Cici did my hair, and the whole experience was pleasant. I have very sensitive skin and had gotten an allergy reaction previously in a different salon, but the experience at Featherz was gentle and non-irritating. The curls turned out beautifully too, thank you to Cici and her team!

    This is my second visit with Mavis, she is really good. The colour she chose for me and the hair that she designed for me is really very nice and fit my face. Highly recommend. Mavis will also explained how to take care of my hair, how to blow it to style it and etc. Will definitely find Mavis again! Thank you!

    Highly recommend the anti-frizz and hair texture treatment at this salon 💇‍♀️✨! As someone with naturally thin and frizzy hair and experienced treatments which does not produce results, I am thrilled with the results. A special shoutout to Mavis, who patiently advised me on the most suitable treatment and executed it perfectly on the day. Throughout the process, she shared hair care insights without any pushy sales tactics. I initially wanted to get a perm along with the treatment, but Mavis wisely suggested addressing my hair texture first due to its dryness.

    Writing this review four days post-treatment. For context, I’ve washed my hair twice since then, and the last photo shows my hair after not washing it for two days.🧖‍♀️📸 *Did not dry, straighten or comb at all for four days

    Got my perm here and am very happy with the result as well the overall experience! Tyler was amazing in ensuring that my hair would be treated well and that I would be happy with the style. Very genuine in his advice (e.g. I had keratine treatments months ago at another place) and he’s for sure someone who takes pride in his profession. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so well taken care of.
    I also loved the studio itself. Beautifully minimalist, calm and plenty of natural light. It also didn’t smell chemical like other studios I’ve been to. I could really relax my mind there, which is definitely something rare. Thank you to Tyler and Featherz Studio 🥰

    Update: My hair became straighter after 7 days. My hair ends are dry. Their reply to my review is to get their hairstylist reply customers promptly & I’ll need to contact them for service recovery😂 I’ll take the $258 spent as a lesson learnt. Pls don’t repeat the same mistake as me.

    To begin, I have straight and fine hair that is not easy to perm. While I have had unsuccessful perms at other salons in the past, I have never left a negative review but this place hits me differently. On the other hand, I have also had successful perms at other salons. The hair stylist at the salon was aware and assured me that she could achieve the desired curls considering my hair type.

    During my visit, I encountered uncomfortable small talk from the stylist, who questioned if I frequently get perms and if I usually patronize the same salon. When I explained that I wanted to try something new, I was further asked about my usual salon and stylist, with the stylist replying me that she used to be working for that salon and was ex colleagues with my usual stylist. The conversation continued with a comment “so did you not manage to get a booking slot for your usual salon because your usual hairstylist is busy?” Not sure what she was trying to imply.

    My hair was also cut shorter than what I requested and I was brushed off with “it’s ok the curls will only make it shorter a little bit more”. Nope it was visibly shorter than what I’ve requested.

    Eventually I left the salon with FLAT and non-voluminous hair, something I’ve never encountered before at all other salons. However, I did not raise any concerns at the time, thinking that it could be due to the way it was blown dry. Additionally, it was already late in the evening, and I did not want to inconvenience the stylist. I had hoped to restyle the perm myself after washing and blow-drying my hair at home.

    To my dismay, when I woke up the following day, HALF of my hair had reverted to straight. I immediately contacted the stylist. My hair was also visibly dry after the perm. Despite expressing my concerns and offering to provide an update later that night, there were no service recovery asking if I could return to the salon for re-perm my hair or to make the situation better. Instead, I was advised me to monitor the situation after washing and blow-drying.

    I did not provide an immediate update that night to further observe the situation, the stylist did not initiate any follow-up either. It was not until the following night when I sent photos showing the straight portion at the back of my hair that I received a prompt reply.

    I was question if the curls disappeared because I SLEPT ON THEM? Wow. If my permed curls can even be gone because I slept on them, I truly do not know what kind of a perming service this salon provides. I even use curl cream and hair oil and make sure my hair is blown properly.

    I was eventually offered to redo the perm “if I felt it was not curled enough.” I DO NOT FEEL that it’s not curled enough but it is INDEED that a portion of it was NOT curled. Even people around me could tell the same.

    The hair stylist did not admit her mistake and it sounded like it was my issue. She then coincidentally became busy after I tried to justify for myself, telling me she will get back to me later. 1 hour later I text her again with photos to justify and coincidentally she was able to give an immediate reply.

    The whole conversation was unpleasant and doesn’t make sense. I have been perming my hair every 6 months for the past 5 years and have never encountered such issue. If it was due to the way I slept, other sections of the perm would have been affected and the curls would have appeared after I wash & dry my hair (which it did not).

    After providing justification with photos of my hair in both wet & blow-dried conditions before sleeping, I was asked to return to the salon for a redo. However, due to a lack of trust and the negative experience I had with the service recovery, I have decided not to return & spend additional $ to visit my usual salon to salvage my hair.

    Am a repeated customer of Featherz Studio mainly because of the good customer service I received on my first visit and wanted to share my experience here.

    Visited the studio a second time to colour my hair and opted to layer my hair as well. Layering was done well but not to the extent that it costs $75 (& was not informed of the pricing till billing). Would suggest for anyone who is looking to visit the studio to confirm the prices before proceeding with any hair cuts / treatments.

    Had a very pleasant and delightful experience at the Featherz Studio, would highly recommend and return for their hair services!

    My perm was done by stylist Mavis who was very skilled and exceeded all my expectations. Not only did she execute the style I wanted, but she also provided valuable advice on hair maintenance. The ambience of the salon was also very comfortable. My best hair salon experience so far!
