    Terrible. Worst of all massages place on this earth, packages after 2 years cannot renew.

    Please give this place a miss.

    I’ve been a regular at Refresh Star Vista for more than a year as the neck and upper back massage helps me relieve tight muscles after a day’s work. The massage itself was a hit and miss as it depends on the masseur I got assigned to, but I made do, as the package was not very expensive. My experience during the Covid period has put a spotlight on their customer service though. The package has a 12-month expiry period of which the bulk of it was when such shops were “locked down” or Singapore had high cases such that customers may not be comfortable with close contact. My package expired unknowingly and the shop refused to extend the expiry date. Given the exceptional circumstances, and since there is no cost outlay to the company, I thought they could simply extend the expiry to keep a customer. But nooooo, they said I have to top up for another package of at least $590 to reinstate the expired one, which likely has the same 12-month expiry. Yes there are business challenges during these pandemic times, but there are personal concerns about making use of the package during these times too. With such an experience, I’d be crazy to top up. Consider me a customer lost, plus my family and friends , and hope this review helps others make their decision.

    Unethical. I have similar experience to other reviews about previously bought package for back and foot reflex before they shut down the branches. Went for massage and they hard sell at this place.

    The worst thing is that they “massaged” me to the point I am bruised all over. Horrible experience and would advise others to avoid this place at all cost.

    Loyal customer lost due to unethical practices and hard selling.

    Refresh TCM Wellness

    Customer who would like to purchase package from you, @refresh tcm wellness,
    have to be really careful and pray hard the shop doesn’t ceased before they manage to redeem all sessions.

    I’ve bought a package of $888 for 30 sessions massage of 30 mins (either shoulder/back) or 40 mins foot reflexology.
    Why I purchased?
    1. The massage by a therapist, Peter, was so really good!
    2. It’s near to my house
    3. Discount of 25-40% each massage session by paying 1 time payment of $888 for 30 sessions!

    GREED!!!

    Unfortunately, covid-19 came, hit all of us badly.

    March 2020, Your shop in Witesand, Pasir Ris, closed for good, despite the package expiry timing is August 2020.

    Responsibly, a memo was written to us, especially to customers with ongoing package. Thank you. It did leave me great impression!

    Telling us not to worry, since a great company like you will have backup plans for us.
    Understood, thank you, it’s covid-19, we waited.

    Your memo stated : We can either go to central/ west / north to enjoy the same service or wait out for home service WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CHARGES just for whitesand members with ongoing package.

    We waited 4 months, late July 2020, your website was set up, and contact person nicely announced the news to us.
    Again, mentioning No additional charges will be applied for whitesand customers that still have ongoing package balance to clear. The package also will be extended since there was a hedge to the operations of whitesand.

    Months passed, life goes on.
    The story is still great till customer whom tried to redeem was told, your balance package is changed to credit points of the balance sessions left. Chaim!
    Don’t know what it means, but eventually the company wrote me an email to remind me I have 18 sessions of either ( 30 mins back/shoulder) or 40 mins of foot reflexology to clear.

    Today waiting eagerly for my massage therapist to confirm my 3 sessions booking of 1.5 hrs of back/shoulder for Home service.

    A person in charged contacted me to confirm the booking and all requirement of space or sofa etc.

    I was then informed, I will be charged 4 sessions from my 18 sessions balance from package.
    I asked why 3 sessions service can be deducting 4 sessions to the PERSON in charged.

    He/she explained their logic and we discussed it for 2 hours!
    – after 2 hours of explaination, maybe my maths really failed, I still do not agreed with their business calculation.

    They CLAIMED they have to change my balance to balance credit and deduct the session original prices accordingly.

    So 90 mins of back/shoulder is now charged at $118.
    When I purchase the packages at $888/30 = $29.6 per session.
    $118/29.6 = 4sessions!

    My jaw really dropped!
    I mentioned again and again, if I need to be charged at original price, why do I even bother to pay the company in advance for package??

    It’s clearly because I will get to enjoy a 25%-40% discount from the original price charged for each session!

    Now they suka suka change their theory and said it’s a credit $ point system and missed out the fact that credit point system also need to top up by benefits?

    Even if they missed out to top up with extra credit, they shld not missed out that their package was sold for discounted price of each session isnt it?

    In logic – I purchased the package for a discounted per session price – $888 for 30 sessions – each session retail is selling at $39/49.
    It’s 25-40% discount.

    Hence the total shld be charged at $118-25% discount = $89 -> 3 sessions redeem!!

    I don’t even need to use basic maths-
    the statement – ‘ Redeem without additional charges’ – rhetorically also mean 90 mins in shop = 90 mins at home session shld be the same!

    Unless you OUTRIGHTLY, claimed there is additional charges!
    Then I won’t add on further!
    I’m just Suay to meet and put my trust in REFRESH TCM WELLNESS!

Feel free to give feedback during the massage itself to your therapist; I keep my massages gentle. Thanks for helping my family members and I feel so relaxed and refreshed each time! ?

    Therapist Winter is quite professional and trained in some TCM knowledge, she reviews the individual’s health before advising the area of treatment during every session and explains in detail each steps and the meaning behind it. However, they are always trying to push for new treatment try-out and topping money for the package “upgrades” which can sometimes be quite frustrating.

    They kept changing the staffs and policies. The previous staff that promised me the package has no expiry date has left. And now the new staff threaten me if I don’t buy new package, she will not extend my package expiry dates. I email the management many times, but nobody replies. Refresh kept closing down their outlets and now left a few outlets which are inconvenient for me to visit, causing me difficulty to use up my remaining package. Furthermore, they reduced the number of treatment rooms at Refresh day spa Plaza Singapura, making it more difficult to make appointment due to limited number of treatment rooms. Seems like this company is going to bankrupt soon, yet they still want to sell their packages. Buy at your own risk!

    China masseur kept on nagging for their additional massage services until you agreed to let them try on you. I had to pay additional price for the additional service which was not included in my original package. I can not enjoy the massage experience at all and I really wanted them to stopping talking. I went there is for relaxing but in the end I felt very unhappy and stressful.

    We purchased a massage package that was sold as a never expiring package. First they shut down the Harbourfront spa and did not refund an unused package then they put a deadline on the package, going against their own promise. The service is also terrible with the staff cancelling appointments at the last moment when I had already reached the spa.

    No longer values loyal customers, who do not purchase extra packages with them as my email enquiry written to the management asking for an extension (as my packages are nearing expiry date) received no reply. Simply no effort to value and retain loyal customers.

    I have sent an email to ask for a reply why my appointment booked months in advance i was informed of changes only when l arrived but till now, my email was ignored! My package is ending n probably because of this, they need not value such customer like me anymore.
