    Fresver Beauty started when an enterprising young woman had the vision of beautifying people. It gave her great joy knowing she could help others feel confident and was making a difference to their lives. Through sheer hard work, she managed to put herself through Beauty College with hard-earned money from door-to-door product sales. Eventually, she saved enough to start a home facial business.
    With a pool of ever-increasing customer base that always came back for her great service and treatment results, she was finally able to start her first beauty salon at Toa Payoh in 1988.
    This inspiring figure is Ms Alice Lim, beautician turned CEO who single-handedly grew Fresver from humble beginnings to the multi-award-winning brand it is today.

    Facial on 27/08/2023
    Was particularly upset with Manager Karen for her hard selling and disrespectful sales talk.

    For the past 3 months, every time after facial, I will be led to a room to go through the same sales talk. For 3 months, I’ve heard her telling me that she has gone through the same treatment and that’s why she doesn’t look her age. And out of courteousy, I listened. Within the 10-15mins talk, I have declined for AT LEAST 10 times. She has no respect for customer’s decision/interest.

    There were 3 points that ticked me off to writing this review:
    1) Manager Karen was STILL trying to get me to signed package at the front desk, even after leaving the room, acknowleging that I DID NOT WANT TO SIGN PACKAGE. Totally disrespectful.
    2) I assumed they charge differently (I.e., give varying amount of discounts) to different customers. Because during the facial, therapist have to WHISPER to me the rates so that the customer next to me couldn’t hear the conversation. And, they keep trying to asking about my employment status, so that they can upsell me the packages (I.e., when I was still a student, vs Now I’m working full-time, the prices the quoted me were doubled).
    3) I have feedback twice about the pushy sales talk and yet this still happens. This shows that they do not take customer’s feedback form seriously.

    And just to add on, they have spelt my name wrongly for 3 times. This is just poor services. And now, I’m stuck in this salon due to the never ending packages that she forced me to sign on.

    Very pushy sale. Only care about you signing package. Manage to convince my wife to sign 3 package in 3 different visit.

    Paid $2000++ for Diamond luminous facial package. Today I went to facial after 3 months of staying home, the beautician said to me today I will not do much extraction because “some pimples has nothing inside. This is the first time I heard about this after facial for so many years. In fact, my skin has a lot of blockage especially after 3 months didn’t go for facial. The whole extraction thing end up only took 5 mins. The whole facial took only one hour, Half of the time is apply mask and let you rest. Before and after totally no different.

    After the facial, as usual without fail the front desk tried to ask me and my sister continue our package.
    We felt unhappy and feedback about the services just now. The front desk said “it took 75 mins as usual”. Nope, it is not, and most importantly it is not about the extra 15 mins, it is about the services!

    I met a very good beautician previous time at this company however the company policy is you cannot choose your beautician, so you will meet different beautician every time. You probably will meet someone really good, but 8 out of 10 times are bad one. Pray before you enter the shop.

    Tried a few company in Singapore, I had the worst experience of extraction and the shortest service hour in this company.

    Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value
    Worst Experienced Ever!! This Fresver Beauty is always hard selling but each time I will find the beauticians got put in effort to clean my face and I think everyone should give a chance. My “diamond” facial coat me $200++ each. I left two times and my package finished and left another two basic facial.
    Usually before your start the facial they will ursher you to put your items in the locker and today’s is none. Just straight away to the room and change, leave ur bag there.
    I have two months never come to facial and by right it should spend more time to clean but they said your face is sensitive, so I do light extraction. Then it followed by massage and one trilight machine and it put another mask and done. It cost $200. It could be all the beautician earn more than $200 per hour else they won’t know $200 is my hard earn money.
    I really don’t hope got anybody will fall the same trap as me. They are just hard selling, unprofessional, when your package almost finished and they give me shitty service.
    The beautician is Chloe and Bernice, located at Hougang Branch.
    In service line, they didn’t show their professionalism, not worth the money and is a nightmare!
    Think twice when u want to come or sign package! U might get a fabulous service at the very first time but all others are lousy service!

    Review is for Kovan outlet – Very hardsell. Had signed a few packages with them, but every facial session, they will always try to sell additional things. First you have to go through all the talks with the beautician during your facial. Even after rejecting again and again, at the end of the facial, the Manager will try to talk to you again. You have to keep rejecting again multiple times before you can finally leave. Spend money to go facial and be tired and stressful. Also realised that their prices are quite expensive. Not recommended.

    I am writing a review for the Kovan outlet. Very unfortunate, I have signed a package with them. I have gone for the 4th treatment and every single week, they will ask me to pay for something. Every week there will be some promotion they would say. They do not take No as an answer. Paying for it is one thing, having service up to the value of the money paid for is another. I signed for a package that included eye treatment and neck treatment. In the following week, they said I needed to add on a lightening spot treatment. I requested if I could change the previous one, the manager said no. In the next treatment, there was no eye treatment or neck treatment which I have paid for. After the treatment, I asked the manager about it. She said the eye and neck treatment meant nothing. They just has to put it down as record. Whatever I have paid for meant just the mask that was put on my face. I have never heard of any facial place that put mask on the face and leave the eye empty. They said this IS eye treatment. Then why should I even pay for it? Isn’t that just part of normal mask? The manager do not have integrity and lack consistency in the words and whatever has been agreed on. They do not even worth a single star. It is worth a CASE to be filed as cheating money. Certainly not a place to be recommended at all.

    I’m writing a review for the new Stars of Kovan branch. Honestly their facial is alright- its did not wow me but you know still passable. As for their beauty products wise, I’m still unclear whether good or bad as I don’t have terrible skin but neither have I seen any significant difference yet. (Btw they are using their own brand of products) Stars of Kovan branch feels clean and hygiene in general, as it should be as it is still relatively new. However like most of the other reviews, I must point out their hard selling tactics which is one of the worst I’ve experienced During the complimentary massage, the therapist was even trying to coerce me to get package! And after the facial session the sales rep will try to hard sell me something while the facial therapist is sitting by her side also trying to double-pressurize me. And mind you, they will not take NO for an answer. That is annoying as hell. If you’re indeed confident that what you have to offer has substance and is a good deal, you do not have to resort to this kind of desperate hard selling! You will only end up creating a bad reputation for yourselves (judging from the reviews here)! Also this type of selling tactics remind me of a pack of hungry hyenas who can’t wait to pounce on their next prey – not a good impression at all!

    Poor service,inexperienced beautician who are constantly pushing customers to buy more services.Most importantly after signing a packaged they cancel some of the services from the 2nd visit.

    I am invited to get a free trial at Hougang and I would say it is still a great experience as the consultant was able to point out the problem on my skin, and the whole facial was up to my standard, I think post treatment selling is inevitable, but the consultant Ms LiMei handle it with great professionalism when I told her at the moment of time I was looking for a new job, she did not further pursuading me to get a package, she ended the conversation wishing me success in getting the new job and hope to see me back when I’m ready, I guess being a sales person she has done a great job leaving me a positive impression, truly appreciate, thank you.

    Good service but too hard selling. Everytime after facial, you will be usher to the consulting room and everytime they will want to sell you something and it is for your own good. No matter big or small. They will try to sell. Feel stressful everytime go there for facial.

    Good service, very detailed with explanations and advise you on what treatment should be done for your skin. Could see the difference in my skin just after the first treatment.

    Facial service is good, but can be quite expensive. Will recommend beautician – Coey. However, i agree with below comments that they hard sell too much to the point that it makes the whole experience quite unpleasant after a supposedly relaxing facial experience. Appreciate if the team can take in the honest feedback. Thanks.

    We have been coming here since 2012 and happy with the team of consultants here. Though we are unable to choose fixed consultants but our conditions are taken care of through the hands of different consultant for each visit. Team is friendly and happy to see regular faces here.

    Personally came over cos of $29 nett deal! I had serious blackheads issues and wanted to get rid of it once and for all.
    As a poor student, 30 bucks was a real deal… But before they extracted my blackheads, they had to psycho me that my blackheads are incurable unless a machine was incorporated into the process. Feels like the staff wouldn’t start until I agreed on the add-on; $58 for a machine that only lasted less than 5 mins.

    Quite funny that beside me was another lady and she was being psycho-ed to add on too:”)

    Before I left, as y’know the hard-selling…I managed to get away with it but I had to review them on Google before leaving. I gave a fake review of 5 stars just to end things on a peaceful note and changed the rating on the way out.

    Service was good tho, the staff was friendly except for the hard-selling. Ginger tea was served in the “consultation room”. Manager’s face darkened a little when I refused the package.

    I probably wont go back cos it’s really EXPENSIVE. I’m sure there are cheaper and as satisfying services out there:)

    Feel comfortable with Lindy. She is hardworking and sincere. Limei is very experience and patient. I enjoyed her massage. Do feel stress when they promote me the products although I know it is benefit me. Almost each time I visit I bought new package. Therefore I dare not come so frequent. Other than this, overall it is quite good.

    Eleen, my consultant is always very attentive during my sessions. The service provided by Fresver is always excellent! Always felt happy after my facial services at Fresver. ?
